Raising Children in modern times

Is Parenting an Art or is it a science?

Do we parent our children the way we were parented or do we do something different?

With the pace of life seeming to out run us, we worry what do we do to raise our children in this competitive environment. Today with couples working parenting has become a challenge, with love and affection taking a backseat. We are parenting as though we are cloning our kids to be next Tendulkars, Ambanis or whatever we want them to be.

Do we take time to smell the sweet scent of fresh flowers?

Aren't kids supposed to be like raw earth, who can be moulded into desired shape, but point to think is whose desire your's or the child's. I believe that we should first give them unconditional love, look and observe their hidden talent. Encourage them to tell what they like, who they like why the like.

I shall put across my thoughts as we go down the path of exploring ways to be parents that our kids want us to be 'Always loving and caring'
